TED Global 2014 / Urban Canvas

South Experiment was a project created for 2014’s TED Global conference in Rio de Janeiro, they’ve produced a bunch of videos that covered all the conference during the speeches. All work was produced by Black Magic.

Urban canvas was directed by Pedro Burneiko and I was selected to create an illustration among 15 artists and also animate all illustrations together, creating a single piece that was projected in a polygon, changing the way how we see those works.

The idea behind the illustrations was to show how technology is changing the way we perceive art and how it’s evolving in collaboration. Illustration The main concept brought by TED were how to mix technology and south elements. The key element I chose was religion. I’ve wanted to present some kind of evolution combining science, faith, technology and religion.
